Following extensive internal reorganization and substantial investments from abroad, we have modernized our facilities and are now ready to serve you better than ever. Our enhanced capacity allows us to handle 35,000 MT of coffee per year and 40,000 MT per year of oilseeds, cereals, and pulses. Ethiopian coffee belongs to the Arabica family which is considered the best in the world. Quality wise, are far superior to Robusta coffee.
We export both types washed and unwashed (sundried) coffees. All coffees are offered by their origin, blends and names. The usual types of coffee exported and known all over the world are the following:
Yirgacheffee Grade 1-5
Sidamo Grade 1-5
Limu Grade 1-5
TepiGrade 1-5
Bebeka Grade 1-5
Djimmah Grade 1-5
Lekempti Grade 1-5 and UG
Sidamo Grade 4
Harrar Grade 1-5 from Dire-Dawa only
Guji Grade 1-5
The new crop for washed coffee starts end of October and for Sundried coffee end of December with the exception of Lekempti coffee which is February.
All coffees are graded according to impurities content. All washed coffee should be exported under grade 2 (12points of reject per 300 grams coffee) or UG (under grade), whereas sundried coffee is exported under grade 5 (90 points of rejects in 300 grams of coffee or grade 4(45 points rejects in 300 grams of coffee)
